Toxic female relationships is the authors expertise.  This is really an examination of our desire to be needed.  Trauma can also bond us.

This was good but not great.  Nothing shocking and characters are pretty unlikable.  The ending was a bit too predictable and tidy for me.

I liked the multi povs and timelines and how the past was slowly unraveled but there is a LOT to unpack and sometimes it felt a bit watered down.
