Mr. Spencer by TL Swan

5.0

a billionaire bachelor, known playboy, who falls for the unattainable innocent rich girl. Yes please!

In book 2 of the Mister series, we learn more about playboy billionaire, “Mr. Spencer”, AKA, Spencer (Spence) Jones. He runs a steal company and has a different woman on his arm every day; sometimes more than one in the same day. No way is Spencer Jones looking to settle down……and then he sees Lady Charlotte across the room and just HAS to meet her. What follows is the bad boy playboy pursuing the innocent rich girl and it’s all brilliantly written.

I may just love Spence more than Julian in book 1! Oh, and all 3 billionaire best friends are on hand for this story and Julian and Sebastian provide much needed advice for Spencer as he navigates a “real” relationship for the first time. And what a rocky road it is. Spencer is an absolute joy to read about - he’s so funny and charming - no wonder all the women fall at his feet.

Charlotte’s family is very over protective, she has strict security, so when her older brother and father go out of town, Charlotte decides to temporarily move to London, get a job with a fake name, and just……live normally. Yes, she still has security, (and I loved Wyatt - he’s such a loyal security guard and you just want to hug him) but she meets new work colleagues who have no idea who she really is, they get to go to bars and “be normal” but then…….she runs into Spencer. Again.

Spencer and Charlotte are a angsty story, there’s every problem imaginable and her family won’t let a playboy like Spencer lead their innocent Charlotte astray. Only problem? He may have already done that, and they have also developed real feelings. You’ll hate her older brother - OMG - and you’ll yell for her father to step up and support her.

There’s some emotional repercussions that happen because of Spencer’s past, a revelation that comes from nowhere, and will they or won’t they get past this. It’s quite emotional, heart wrenching reading, and I couldn’t put this down. I was really rooting for this couple. So mismatched, she’s so innocent and younger, but wow, Spencer really gives this relationship his all.

Now, onto book 3 and Mr Garcia. I’m dying to see what Sebastian’s secret past holds.
