The Other Side by Chevy Stevens

2.0

I never had any intentions of reading this short story only available as an ebook but I’ll do almost anything for my podcast. Very soon I’ll be doing an author spotlight of Chevy Stevens so I wanted to read as much as her stuff as I possibly could before then. Suffice it to say I didn’t like it much, it was ok. I have found that most short stories I read aren’t really my thing because it usually is little to no plot just more character development, and as a reader who prefers plots you can imagine how exciting short stories are for me. THE OTHER SIDE brings together psychiatrist Nadine Lavoie and police sergeant Sandy McBride and tells a parallel story to NEVER KNOWING, but also works as a standalone tale. I found it completely pointless unless you’re really invested in the police detectives from Never Knowing. This also reminded me how much they annoyed me in that book. Not worth the .99 cents I paid.
