This was a great read, let’s just get that out of the way here! I found myself talking to these characters because some of their decisions were really riling me up 😅 This book is more character focused than plot driven, which usually I am not a fan of, but in this case worked so well. The characters are flawed but that just makes them more relatable and realistic, especially with their different life experiences and personal issues. I loved the character development and how the incorporation of tidbits of Puerto Rico was woven so seamlessly into the story. As always, I’m a huge fan of different cultures portrayed in books and I love that I got to see that in this one. I also really enjoyed the build up of the relationship and how the author touches on so many social issues, feel free DM me if you’d like to talk about it! Towards the end things seemed to move quickly so I would’ve loved to have more of an in-depth look at each character’s thoughts and journey instead of just being catapulted into the future. However, I will say the ending felt complete and I wasn’t left wondering about any characters!
