Trailer Park Trickster by David R. Slayton

4.0

While still not great it is very solidly good and worth the time if you enjoyed the original.

The story has lost some of the thematic depth of the original but, has done a good job of expanding on the characters story and making all of them far more enjoyable. Truth be told the characters and their struggles are what I found the most interesting even if one in particular feels like they didn’t get enough attention. (*cough* Bobby *cough*) The new shift in creating a more intriguing/satisfying narrative over attempting a thematically heavy story is a step in the right direction and something I hope the author leans more into.

If you enjoy queer magical modern fantasy than I still recommend this book series and I look forward to reading Deadbeat Druid.
