Modern Loss: Candid Conversation About Grief. Beginners Welcome. by Rebecca Soffer, Nikki Reimer, Gabrielle Birkner

4.0

I picked up this book, probably like others, because I just lost someone I love. The all-consuming sadness sits right next to my wonderful memories, and the necessity to continue my day-to-day life. Reading other people explain their pain and love and loss was so helpful. Knowing that the convoluted emotions I am feeling, frustration and anger, loneliness and grief. The structure of these short essays was addictive, I fell in love with each other and their loved one and felt sadness as I left them. It wasn't perfect, but it was what I needed.
