Size 12 Is Not Fat
by Meg Cabot
Honestly this book is simply ok. First off the title is a bit misleading and I was looking more for a bit of plus size girl humor type chick lit, this is not it.
Second of all as it has been said in other reviews, Meg Cabot becomes quite redundant in what can best be said to be "catch phrasing" yet they're mere annoyances and reminders of things the reader can't forget. Like constant mention of Heather Wells past as a pop star, as if we could forget a major premise of the book. Or her constant reassurance "size 12 isn't fat, it’s the size of the average American woman," or her constant reminder "after my six month probation is up" or "I hope this doesn't mess up my six month probation" if some of this fluff wasn't there it would have made for a better story.
I don't know if I'll be reading anymore Heather Wells pieces, maybe the 2nd to see if it’s a constant theme of redundant information or just a first time murder mystery. I normally love Cabot's work so this was disappointing
