Overall, I enjoyed this story though I will admit, these characters aren't my favorite. Gideon, the Duke of Rothwell is incredibly proud and stubborn. He's determined to fix his family's shameful problem on his own with help from no one. His only problem, he falls in love with a young woman equally stubborn and proud and determined she will be a partner to the man she weds.
Lady Louisa Vivers, the sister of the Earl of Worthington isn't a shy and retiring miss to be taken for granted. She knows exactly what she wants and will settle for nothing less. Though she is still kind and doesn't wish to cause anyone pain, she isn't above manipulating things to go in her favor and as it happens, in the favor of others as well.
Louisa and Gideon are fun characters though his attitude did get a bit tedious for me after a while. The first two books were more fun, in my opinion than this one, but it was still nice to revisit the Worthington's and their enormous family.
