Brotherhood by Mike Chen

This book has scooped out my heart and completely relationships. I am a mixture of melancholy at knowing the future and yet warmth at the present of this book!! The way Qui-Gon was used as an interconnected factor, binding Obi-Wan and Anakin as brothers, makes my heart completely melt like a wax candle. Every mention of him and Satine was like a punch to the gut. I genuinely would gasp and stop reading for a moment to recollect myself after seeing either of their names. The line “You don’t always have to be the sun dragon” is now brandished across my heart, forever. Mike Chen has a beautiful way with words I feel I can’t even begin to describe. If there’s ever some super-pretty collectors edition of this book, count me first in line to buy it. Seriously, I would scoop out a considerable amount of my paycheck for it. There were so many parts where I could hear a characters voice so distinctly just from the way it was written. When 3PO popped up I truly felt as if I was hearing a voice recording. Ahh I feel like I have so much more to say about this book, but it’s 11pm and I have work tomorrow sadly. But thank god for paychecks that provide the ability to buy such magnificent books!!
