This book was a personal trip for me! My boyfriend and I have been together for the exact amount of time as Ryan and Lauren were when their issues started. With that being said, some of the annoyances and quirks between them were extremely relatable! Even though We haven’t had the issues that these two did… I am now a little more confident In the resolution If it ever does! I have been inspired to not only focus on my relationship, but to also focus on myself as well!
I enjoyed Lauren and her journey so much. I didn’t think I was invested in the characters until about halfway through…. When I realized that I was truly and whole heartedly routing for her and the people in her life! Charlie and Natalie were a great side story as well! I was so proud of Charlie and the choices he made! Not to mention Lauren and her progress! I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that I feel connected to the characters… it is a TJR book after all!
Anyway, The reason it is rated a 3.5 stars is because it was extremely slow! I understand why it needed to progress at the rate that it did.. however it was just hard to stay invested in the story for a long period of time!
At the end of the day, I think everyone in a long term relationship could learn something from this book!
