Honestly, this was better than I expected it to be. The premise is a fairly typical acquaintances-to-lovers trope, with an added pretend-wife scheme in there too. But the characters were genuinely likable and the dialogue was funny. A little bit of spice, but nothing too raunchy. The main conflict in the story was more about the individual characters and their decisions versus a he-said-she-said relationship misunderstanding, which I really appreciated (I hate when the whole conflict can be solved just by talking to one another). Would recommend if you’re looking for something funny and easy to read but more than a superficial plot line.
