Man, I wish the author had written a longer book and developed these characters better.

I LOVED the core characters in this book. I really like that the main character is disabled, and I REALLY like that there is incredible sexual freedom not only for her and her podcast viewers but for all her friends and her romantic interest.

The book sometimes feels like a textbook with the way the character talks, but I understand that certain things needed to be discussed between Frankie and Jay if they wanted to continue their relationship.

Unfortunately, despite having a good plot and good characters, the book has a serious problem of poor development. It needed more pages.

I don't know if the author had editors, but I feel like they should have made it clear that the character not wanting a relationship at one point and then changing his mind ten pages later is not a good thing for the story. Nor is the same character giving up on his relationship and wanting it back 5 pages later. They should have suggested that she expand on some of the characters' personal and emotional processes.

It's a huge shame that everything is left out. The story of Jay's ex is rushed, as is the love and relationship between Jay and Frankie. For someone with commitment issues and traumas, Jay accepts Frankie too easily.

And I don't know if I believe this story that he feels bad about getting into relationships because all his ex-girlfriends said he wasn't made for them. He clearly doesn't seem like the type of person to give less than his everything to his partner, so it's weird that everyone thinks otherwise when he's never done anything to prove he's less than a person ready to date.

I really missed scenes that made Frankie and Jay's relationship a more constant construction. Everything is very abrupt, even when they give themselves to each other.

It's incredibly sad that this read wasn't more than it could have been. The author created incredible characters, but she failed too much in the depth of the connection between them.
