The Rise and Ruin of Everwood by Alicia Morgan
4.0
3.5 stars
Set in a post apocalyptic world where you have two rival encampments and an outside world filled with mother natures wrath and the others, this book was a fairly enjoyable read with some unexpected twists and some predictable ones.
You have Eva the fmc who can heal, fight and is the heir to one of the leaders, we follow her as she saves a male with memory loss, tries to save her people and fights for what’s right.
I wasn’t really a fan of the instant love and was hoping for more build up, I really didn’t like the mmc views towards Eva at the start, it was full on obsessive, but towards the end he was a lot better.
There was a lot of action and fights scenes which I really enjoyed and showed how unstable the world is. With a bit more depth and character building this book could be a 5 star read for me.
