Stories for Nighttime and Some for the Day by Ben Loory
5.0
I don't even know how to review this.
I simultaneously wanted to read these stories to my future children & hide this book from them so they never feel the weird creepy feelings I felt while reading certain ones.
The stories were like dreams & the ones that were like nightmares weren't scary so much as kind of haunting.
My favorites were the more adorably upbeat ones like The Octopus, The Duck, The Tree, The TV & Winston Churchill, and On the Way Down: A Story for Ray Bradbury. There were others I liked but I read this too fast & I'm going to have to read it again, maybe one a night right before bed so I can have dreams about it.
