The Fated Sky by Mary Robinette Kowal
4.0
I loved this just as much as the first in the series. This time we move from colonizing the moon to heading out towards Mars, and there is plenty of drama along the way. Women have become more accepted in the astronaut program, but there are still racism problems, not to mention the problems with people who think Earth should come first. There were a few places where I thought the characters were a bit stereotyped, though I guess it's hard to write non-stereotyped racists really, and I felt a couple of characters got short shrift, but there were a lot of them.
I'm very much looking forward to the next installment.
