The Maid's Diary by Loreth Anne White
3.0
Generous 3 ⭐️s
Throughout this story I kept thinking, this seems really unnecessarily complicated, something crucial is missing. Many of the characters are seemingly connected yet nothing terribly obvious actually connects them. They don’t know each other at all, as far as the reader is concerned.
Eventually the shoe drops and we find out that three different characters are actually one person, our FMC Kit: the would be mistress to the secondary MC. The “pregnant” new friends to the secondary FC. The maid to the couple’s shared home (who only comes by when they aren’t home, of course). Oh, and let’s not forget, the MC and others actually gang raped her when she was only 16! AND, furthermore, the wife has a video of this act. But of course this was nearly 20 years ago and Kit was a little heavier back then, so how could they possibly recognize her?
