Harlem Renaissance Party by Faith Ringgold
4.0

A little boy and his uncle explore the Harlem Renaissance and meet key figures ranging from W.E.B Du Bois to Langston Hughes. Nice introduction to notable African American figures woven into a story set against vivid acrylic paintings.

Back matter consists of a glossary giving a paragraph worth of bio info on the notable African Americans found in text and a further reading section rounds out the resources.

Recommended for sharing during Black History Month with grades 2-5+.
