Water Bound by Christine Feehan

5.0

Having read the majority (26/28) of the Dark series by Christine Feehan, I didn't hesitate to pick up another series written by her. I have to say though, this book blew my mind! Not only was it based more on real humans (with psychic powers) but this is the first time I've encountered a main character that has a developmental disability. Not that Feehan has never introduced characters with physical abilities, as one of her heroines is blind and another is mute. But this is the first time we've gotten a look at someone who doesn't have any outward "disabilities" and yet who is strong, independent and capable in her own way. I absolutely love how Feehan paints the picture of Rikki and how amazingly supportive Lev is of her. I can't wait to continue this series!
