Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow
4.0
This dense book is packed with interesting and insightful information about a very controversial founding father. I was not as aware of Hamiliton's political mind as I was of his passion for a strong central government. There is a lot going on in this book, and it is all tied neatly together in a well written, plotted and paced book. The themes carry forward evenly and the facts vs myths are explored and treated with dignity where dignity is due.
Might not recommend reading this close to reading Washington a Life, which I did, as there is a lot of overlap between the two.
