Wilderness Reform
by Harrison Query, Matt Query
slow-paced
Well.. I’m sad about this one, y’all. Wilderness Reform was one of the most disappointing reads for me all year. I had been DYING to read this one. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. And I just wasn’t into it. This was an insanely slow burn that was mostly character driven, full of campfire stories and boys bonding. Nothing happened until the last 70 pages of the book, which was still pretty thrilling. But this book deserved more. The plot certainly had potential. The writing was so atmospheric. I love a good wilderness setting. Let’s not forget about the cover! It’s stunning and eerie. I am so sad that I didn’t love this, but I am definitely in the minority. So, please check it out yourself if you’re interested in a good wilderness thriller.
