Similar to the first book, this is a fun witchy romance with mystery undertones. I saw someone describe it as Halloweentown for grownups and that is really the easiest way to sum it up.

The redemption arc for Astaroth from the end of book one throughout book two was surprisingly enjoyable! I loved seeing his appreciation for the parts of Calladia that her mother always put down/

The puns are 10/10 and the swiftie representation was appreciated throughout the book.

Like book one the ending felt rushed, but I enjoyed it and overall it was a good read. Just curious though, does the author have beef with her own mom? Cause man the mothers in this series have all been nightmares.
