Skulduggery Pleasant by Derek Landy
5.0

This is a very versatile series. While most readers would start this when they were young, it still can appeal to the older reader. With only a few cases of plot driven and disappointing coincidence, a lot of the book doesn’t stick to the cliques of young horror, which is a pleasant surprise. The main character Stephanie us one of the funniest characters I have seen done. She has quips similar to that of Jace Wayland from the Shadowhunter’s series, but teaming that up with Skulduggery Pleasant, they keep going and it’s beautiful to watch the characters interact. Overall, I think this book is timeless and ageless.
