The Zahir: A Novel of Obsession
by Paulo Coelho
I love Coelho's books. As with his other writings, the messages are not always clear at first but they slowly start making sense as you progress through the book. It certainly gives you a lot to think about even long after you read the last page.
Of course it would be easy to sum it up saying the book is about love but for me it was much more interesting to read about how we are all following unwritten rules of society. These rules were established a long time ago but we don't know when exactly or whose idea they were, yet we all feel obliged to follow them.
I'm certainly looking forward to my next read by Coelho.
