Wow! I really loved this book: it had suspense, and it was neat to see a relationship develop from such… a harrowing situation. I also loved that, while the road to romance wasn't free of obstacles, Cari Hunter didn't exaggerate any of them: they each played their part and none of them felt drawn out to prolong the journey. This book also did a good job of showing us some of the first date and the loving relationship that grew out of the events of this book. Too many romance authors seem to enjoy the twists and turns of becoming a couple, without ever giving the reader more than a moment of the loving relationship the characters have worked the whole book to get to; Hunter does not do that here.
