I'm Glad My Mom Died

rating a memoir feels very icky to me personally. this is the first memoir I have read, and it was tense. the material was incredibly deep and shares how Jennette was emotionally, mentally, and physically assaulted by her mother, bosses, and previous relationships- as well as diving deep into her history with disordered eating. I couldn’t recommend this book enough- but make sure you check the trigger warnings and read when your in a good mental state because this book is incredibly deep.
Graphic: Child abuse, Eating disorder, Emotional abuse, Mental illness, Physical abuse, Vomit
Moderate: Adult/minor relationship, Alcoholism, Cancer, Panic attacks/disorders, Sexual content, Death of parent
