this was alright. really intriguing premise for a romance—a one-night-stand turns into a story of survival when the couple gets lost at sea together. i liked that this went outside the lines of a traditional romance plot—though it did seem like the two always had what they needed (food, in particular).
i can’t say i loved Lexi or Zeke—they were okay MCs, but the insta love didn’t have me fully convinced. i also feel like Lexi’s attachment to Mae felt off—a little too dependent? idk. i thought the twist at the end was dragged out for too long and i almost lost interest, but was ultimately happy with where it ended up.
not my favorite story but I’m glad i read it!
