A creepy, disturbing cult-based novel, following the questionable past of mirror twins Jude and Kat. It’s billed as a thriller, but it’s slower-paced with tension and drama, so in my personal opinion, it’s more of a suspense.
Set in the 80s, the story opens with Kat coming out of a coma, not remembering anything from her past. Her twin sister, Jude, makes it her mission to help Kat relearn her past while also helping her build a present & future. However, events & clues lead Kat to believe Jude may be lying, so Lat sets out to rediscover her past on her own terms.
This tale was definitely weird & twisted, exploring the unique mind/body connections twins often have. While it had its 4-5⭐️ moments & was interesting, as a whole it didn’t knock my socks off. It’s not a happy story, so don’t come looking here for anything too redeemable nor inspiring from the characters. However, if you love cult mysteries, and screwed up family systems, this book is for you.
