You're Not Supposed to Die Tonight by Kalynn Bayron

2.0

(take whatever I'm about to say with a grain of salt because horror/slashers/thrillers have never been my cup of tea.)

The first half of this book was trying so hard to build up to some really scariness, but alas, the second half did not deliver at all because it was just ridiculous.
really, OWLS?! An Owl cult?!? Maybe it worked for other people but it sure as hell didn't work for me.

The characters were meh at best, and unfortunately that meant when things started happening, I didn't really care.
The twists were also ridiculous and the ending didn't make sense and was unsatisfying.

Thankfully, it's not a long book. And while I didn't like it, if you're looking for a book that's bloody and scary without actually being that or making you feel things, this is the one for you!
