One of Us Is Lying by Karen M. McManus
2.0
wow this was very boring. i don’t think i’ve been this disinterested in a mystery book in like … ever.
was it predictable? yes. a little. it was like my first guess. i still entertained other ideas as the book went on. but i kept going back to the same suspect. im taking that as a win for myself.
i honestly was zoning in and out as i was going through this i cant lie. it wasn’t keeping my attention. the characters did not appeal to me in any way. they were quite one dimensional. the romance felt like it took up a huge part of the story, but i didn’t care for it at all. i could have gone without it. they bored me.
the “reveals” were all anticlimactic. even the death scene wasn’t delivering. it was not that interesting at any point.
i just wanted the book to be over the whole time and thankfully im free of it.
