This book absolutely surprised me! I wasn’t expecting this amount of depth from it on themes of love, racism, identity, duty, family, and so much more. McQuiston’s writing was smart, witty, and I really loved all the literary references throughout. I am 100% convinced that Alex and June are based off David and Alexis from Schitt’s Creek which made it all the better.
