The New Human Beings by Beau Taplin
5.0
Trigger Warnings: suicide mentions, drugs & alcohol mentions, eating disorder mentions
we are the young wolves,
the wild things,
the mosh pit warriors.
we are handfuls of hurricanes and hiccups.
and misfits and mischief makers.
and some nights are bad
and some nights are worse
but whichever way the night turns
we will burn all the same
like young suns spun from light years of cosmic dust.
I love Beau's writing so much. I could honestly live in it forever. Three of the poems in this collection hit me so hard I ended up crying. It's just so lyrical and haunting. I feel every word in my soul.
