Read for the 2021 PopSugar book challenge. 38. A book about art or an artist
I originally had this set up for another prompt “18. A book about a subject you are passionate about”. Thinking there would be more geekery in this, I mean manga artist meets fan boy at an anime convention? Well that portion lasts the blink of an eye and I couldn’t keep this book in that prompt anymore. Happily it fits into a book about an artist.
This book has been on my tbr list for near 10 years. It’s just been lingering, I mean LOOK at the cover photo. That’s Duo Maxwell from Gundam Wing if I ever seen him. (Which is exactly why I was drawn to Drawn Together). Now while Ran Yamane looks exactly like duo on the cover, he has the personality of a cactus. He irked me throughout the book although his prickly attitude is understandable. Overall Drawn together probably would have been a 5 start read had I read it 10 years ago, however I still enjoyed this one and it’s clocking in at a 3.
