Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros

5.0

I'm absolutely blown away! This series has quickly become one of my all-time favorites, rivaling even the beloved ACOTAR series by Sarah J. Maas.

The story had me hooked from the start, and the plot twist completely wrecked me—in the best possible way. The romance was intense and fiery, with just the right balance of passion and restraint. I appreciated that the author didn't overdo it with the sex scenes, allowing the emotional connection between the characters to shine through.

This is the kind of series that I wish I could experience again for the first time. The characters were incredibly easy to connect with, and I found myself rooting for them every step of the way. Special shoutout to Ridoc for providing some much-needed comic relief!

I loved everything about this book—the characters, the world-building, the plot, and of course, the dragons! As someone who only recently started reading fantasy, I never thought I'd enjoy stories about dragons, but this series has completely changed my mind.

The only downside? I finished it too soon, and now I have to wait until January 2025 for the next installment. But rest assured, I'll be eagerly counting down the days until then.

Overall, I give 'Iron Flame' a solid 5 stars and will be recommending this series to anyone who will listen. If you're looking for a captivating fantasy series with heart, humor, and plenty of dragons, look no further!
