4 people, 3 decades, how well do you know your 20th Century Russian history? Probably not well enough to place it in the context of how real people have lived it. I really appreciated the stories of real Russians, the impact of going from Totalitarian to open and back again, removal of psychology/sociology as disciplines mid century and their affects on people, and what happens when free speech is shut down. Its a messed up story, it is real, and it makes me appreciate democracy. A must read for all thinking people.
