Nowhere To Run
by Nancy Bush
This is the first book by Nancy Bush that I've read. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but the plot sounded interesting so I decided to give it a go. Overall, I thought Nowhere to run was a good, solid and entertaining read. I didn't dislike this book, but I also didn't love it.
I was confused as to whether or not this was a romantic suspense novel or just a suspense novel with a little bit of romance in it. I felt there was more focus on the suspense and the who-dunit aspect of the story than the romance between Liv and August. They just all of a sudden became romantically involved.
I was also perplexed as to the large amount of attention given to August's sister September (boy did I groan and roll my eyes at their names! :) in the book. Only after I finished did I realize that there was a sequel which stars September as the main character.
It took me a while to really get into the story but once I did, I began to enjoy it a bit more. I was intrigued enough by the loose end left in this book that I might read the next one in the series.
