Parts of it felt really obvious but the big reveal did throw me off, but not in a satisfying way. Looking back, some chapters are direct plants and I should have caught onto those. I though the reveal was a bit laughable and there were some plot holes that just were never addressed. The blood on Adam that he never realizes is blood but does touch and feel? Where did it go? The random sex scene Sarah has with Rob, I’m guessing? AND!! Did the police seriously not even question her? Sarah is the wife of the man who is having an affair! She should have been a suspect. Also, I expected Adam to regress and panic in the last couple chapters since that’s where they were headed. I figured he would have lost his mind after 11 years but he was just too calm. I think more than Sarah being Kelly’s murderer I was appalled by how she revealed it to Adam. I feel like I should have seen it coming especially with all the mommy issues between Sarah and her mother, Eleanor, and Adam. Also, I expected Matthew and Sarah to get married because I felt like they hinted at Matthew being in love with her, so the whole Bob as her next husband felt kind of left field. Another thing I don’t understand is all the conversations she has with Bob are fake at the end of the day? There was a whole side of her that we just were not shown and then it was crammed in the last couple chapters. It was interesting to see that her daughter’s name is Summer though. Sheriff Stevens being the 3rd DNA sample felt obvious. One of my biggest book pet peeves is when characters name drop lux brands. Sarah did that way too often and I got irritated every time.
