only 4 stars because I felt like the plot was a bit rushed towards the end? I think this would've benefitted from more explanation for the ultimate killer, more time for Daniel Redding, and more words overall.

barnes has a gift in writing believable teenagers. the ending GOT me. I could totally understand Cassie feeling like if Michael had been there, she would've chosen Michael. I hope we get more into what happens within this love triangle because I truly think she will ultimately end up with Michael...
and I think I have a gripe with the mystery genre - I don't like when the main character gets kidnapped/in a sketchy situation and has to fight to get out in *every book.* this one especially felt over the top.
I did appreciate the end with the program's change; sterling <3
