While I really loved this romance, I wasn’t as engaged with this plot as with Grimstone’s, the first book in the series. The ending especially left a lot to be desired. Things wrapped up so quickly, missing the opportunity to expand on Lorne’s motives, any backstory, and more angst and tension. 

I love Grimstone as the setting and I can’t wait for more stories in this costal town. Sophie’s writing is great and easy to read as always. I mean, I did read this in a day.
