It was a good enough story but one that leaves me unsatisfied. The ending felt a bit rushed.
And I dislike the fact that the only reason Rohan came to his senses and realized he wants to be with Elinor was when her life was in danger. I've realized I'm not particularly fond of that trope. I prefer when the love interest realize on their own that they love and want to be with the MC without any 3rd party help or the life in danger trope. Because if not, it just makes me question that without those, would they even have acted on their feelings?

I guess I just needed more from this book. Needed more validation on Rohan's feelings for Elinor. I felt a little unfulfilled but the story was enjoyable enough.

I also read this via an audiobook and I didn't really care for the narrator's performance so that could have played a part on my disappointment.
