As an English Major, and all around word lover, this book was a great read. It's refreshing, from my point of view at least, to hear the story of the English language and its struggles to settle into the minds of people everywhere. Not to mention the struggle of great minds to tackle the language to the ground, tie it up, and clean it up so that the rest of the population could use and understand it.
I suggest anyone with any interest in the English Language, and so on, to pick up this book and read it. It's short and impressive, not to mention informative!
