This was a mixed bag for me. It's so dark and tense in the first part. I know that Jackson can write good psychological thriller and she's great at handling the residual trauma that Pip is suffering from the previous books. That said, part two felt like a complete departure from the tone of the series. I think I understand why the plot decided to take this route but it does not mean I had to like it. It's hard to describe without spoilers but I really felt the final 'plot twist' ruined the point of the Good Girl series.
