An outstanding sequel.

Trust Kelsier when he says "There's always another secret". Because this sequel has them. A lot.

This book has a comparatively slower pacing. (The middle book syndrome was very mild) But that did not make me enjoy it any less because it gave room for beautiful character arcs. The result of this is that I am absolutely in love with Elend's character. Right now, to me he is second to none(even Kelsier). As a reader you come across some characters you love, but rarely do you ever find one who inspires you to be atleast half as good as them. Elend Venture is one such character. I'm so eager to read more of him in the next book. I also loved Vin throughout the book. I feared that she would be one of those "strong" female characters that are annoying to me. But she is not one of those. She is very relatable(can't fathom how that happened while she is also 100 times stronger than me)and a well written character. Other character arcs that I also loved include Sazed and Zane(though we read about him for a very short time).

I would also like to mention that I have become a huge fan of the action scenes in the Mistborn series. Brandon Sanderson is highly capable of crafting the most "visual" action scenes I've ever read. I can almost see the coin flipping away across my eyes. It's like reading in HD.

Overall, a great sequel albeit a bit slow. The hype around Brandon Sanderson and the Mistborn books are true. (Saying this after reading 3 books from the Cosmere universe)

PS: Vin is not my favorite character because she killed a dog. I am somehow not able to look over it. Two dogs? Did u really HAVE to do it Brandon? Also, Zane's death had a stronger impact on me than the others. What does that say about me?
