Contractually Yours

"You are the moon in the night sky. I'm just putting a few stars around you so you can shine even brighter."
Alright, this is another bookstagram trap I fell easily into and do not regret. I mean, come on. Age-gap? Marriage of convenience? forced proximity? Angst? Drama? GROVELLING? Hell yeh.
Poor Lucienne has been screwed over her whole life. One day when she was 14, she met an attractive older guy who left a lasting impression on her. Later on, she goes on to marry the same guy to get more control in her life. He does not remember her, not yet anyway. Though Sebastian was not happy with this development as he was forced into it by his family. But they have instant chemistry, though that did not stop him from going forward with his revenge plan. By the time he realizes his mistake, it's too late and it drives a gap between them. He does win her back, obviously.
At times, as much as their chemistry was strong, I just felt like we could've seen more development in that department. AND I am also so mad we did not get to see Luce's half-sister being destroyed I hate that girl with a passion, just as much as the other girl.
The groveling could have been a teeny tiny bit more. But you can't tell me that if you see someone with
"EXCLUSIVE PROPERTY OF LUCIENNE PERRY.
TRESPASSERS WILL BE REMOVED WITH EXTREME PREJUDICE"
tattooed on their chest, you won't immediately forgive them. And all those flowers he sent while taking great care of their meaning? Gosh, I loved those cute and grand gestures.
And let's not forget, MAN CRAWLED ON HIS KNEES FOR HER. That was the highlight of the book ngl. Though not in the top 10, Sebastion Lasker definitely falls into the top 20 book boyfriends. (It's only coz the top 10 is reserved for extremely unhinged book bf's
