To be honest, I didn't really care. It was an easy read but I wasn't engaged with the plot up until the Child Brunswick concept was introduced and I think that's because I don't really care for Connor and Jamie. If I was able to understand the former in the first book a little more, it would have set this one up a lot nicer.

With that being said, I loved the crime story! The whole Brunswick case really added an extra element of darkness to the book and I found it very engaging. Made me realise how you really have no idea what could have happened in someone's past that affects them now.
