This was lukewarm and I'm not still sure if it's a 2 or 3.
The worldbuilding was complicated and a tad too much for the story to really settle in. The two POVs sounded almost the same and I really didn't connect with the characters.
I finished this one just so that I can say I did. The writing style is decent, the romance is cliched but to be honest, I didn't pay attention so much to the narration after much time because a. despite the colour in her voice, the narrator sounded like reading always the same things
b. the revenge plot was repetitive.
Congrats though for choosing a Jamaican narrator!
