 A really fun epistolary novel that delves into the backstory of the notorious Mrs. Lovett from the penny dreadful The String of Pearls. I love any and all lore related to the Sweeney Toddiverse but especially enjoyed this new take on Lovett. Demchuk and Clark bring us careening into the dark corners of 19th century London and really “flesh” out this most unreliable of narrators! Bloody, twisted, campy, & queer!
