The Engineer's Wife
by Tracey Enerson Wood
emotional
inspiring
reflective
slow-paced
This book made me want to read more historical fiction--I feel like I've been neglecting this genre for no reason! It's neat that this author included an afterword explaining which characters and plot elements were based in truth and which were made up.
The plot moved sort of slowly, but the characters were built out really well. It was very interesting to watch Emily become an engineer while balancing family and her bigger dream of fighting for women's voting rights.
