Lovely Bad Things by Trisha Wolfe

Easy 5 stars

This is the weirdest fucking book I've ever read. I listened to this on audio and I couldn't put it down because it was so good and so weird and so WTF. I loved that shit. I have zero clue what the fuck happened throughout the whole book but I am absolutely here for it.

Imagine this... Hannibal Lecter, minus the cannibalism, add in some debilitating lust, some kinky fuckery, and some runes and rituals and you get Halen and Callum

The philosophy and mythology aspects of the story were super enticing but also made it super confusing to follow, as philosophy is, in a good way though. I was constantly questioning why things were brought up or mentioned when they had nothing to do with anything only to find out why later.

Professor Locke is absolutely fucking delusional. He's egotistical, knows he's hot, in desperate need of therapy so naturally we fucking love him.

I was truly not expecting that bomb drop in the ritual field but like... yeah I can see it

And the second plot twist at the very end... Who? What? Why? When? HOW??? Literally what the fuck is happening? I am immediately starting the second one
