Party of Two by Jasmine Guillory

Did not finish book. Stopped at 68%.
I dragged myself through so much of this book before I finally gave up. Until, finally, I realized I wasn't reading to see what happened to the characters but reading for a reason I should care. And more than halfway through is just far too far to still be looking for that.
There was nothing particularly bad about this book. If I had finished, it likely would have come out to a 2.75, 3 star book. But it just bored me. Everything about the romance was mundane and ordinary in a way that definitely could appeal to some but was boring to me. She likes him because he respects her and buys her fries sometimes! He likes her because she's hot and smart. It just didn't give me anything special.
Also, the central conflict for the first half of the book is keeping the relationship secret because the love interest is a senator, and it was so unrealistic to me. I have never in my whole life cared about who a senator was dating ever.
