Of a certain type - ancient orders who have a secret origin in a spell that could make or break the world. Also a pessimistic initial protagonist, ended up liking the secondarily introduced protagonists more! The gods were also a bit above it all, so it felt a little removed from humanity, but I can understand that decision. Still thoroughly enjoyed it.
